MIDDLE SCHOOL

College Preparation. Success. Leadership are themes that engulf the environment for middle school students.

Lockers are adorned with inspirational quotes about success by our history’s elite; a banner, made of traditional African kente cloth, hangs over the 8th grade classroom and declares, “I AM A LEADER.” Information about Chicago’s best high schools and the nation’s top colleges are easily accessible for the students.

Middle school students enjoy technology integrated into their curriculum. Teachers use a diverse means of educating the students, via individual projects, group assignments, presentations, or written assignments.

Whatever the means of teaching, the ultimate goal is to engage the students, nurture their intellectual and spiritual growth, and prepare them for higher education thus cultivating tomorrow’s leaders.

Children who are taught to love learning have a life-longadvantage.
