Catholic schools from time to time conduct special fund raising efforts to secure resources and support the long-term needs of the school. In Spring 2007, the Academy of St. Benedict the African will begin a capital campaign to support building renovations at both campuses, and an endowment fund.

The Capital campaign is a multi-year effort to raise money for the following initiatives:

• updating bathroom and teacher facilities at both campuses
• repairing ceiling in the Stewart gymnasium
• refurbishing science lab at both campuses
• renovating the technology lab in both campuses
• establishing an endowment fund

Without the support from new families, local businesses and the community, these projects are likely to place additional future financial burden on the parents. These are ambitious, but necessary investments the Academy needs to make to support the long-term needs of the students.
