Welcome to the Laflin Campus:

The Academy of St. Benedict the African is composed of two campuses. The Laflin Campus is located in West Englewood. It is located approximately one block east of Ashland, close enough to a main artery for families in need of public transportation and yet set in a quiet block lined with single- family homes. The school building and surrounding property is spacious and inviting both from an academic and recreational perspective. When you call to set up a tour you may enter from Justine or Laflin street since the school property occupies most of the block.

Once within the school you will immediately feel the warmth and spirituality that permeates our building. Everyone who walks through the doors remarks about the special feeling they sense once inside the school. Brightly colored classrooms are adorned in grade appropriate décor. Desktop computers may be found in every classroom. Two wireless mobile laptop labs move around from class to class for whole group activities. A computer lab is available is well. A T1 line connects every classroom (including preschool and the extended day area) to the World Wide Web.

Spanish language classes are offered in grades preschool through eighth grade. The students receive music, library, and gym classes also. Choir is offered during the after school program. Other extracurricular activities include soccer and basketball.
